2003 Las Vegas Reunion Info:

June 16:

Subject: Upcoming Vegas Weekend--if you cannot read the message please email me asap
Importance: High

OK folks! Here are the final arrangements I have made for the Fourth of July Nepal 60 Reunion in Las Vegas!

I have reserved 2 suites at the St. Tropez All Suites Resort for Thursday July 3 through Saturday July 5. Each are one bedroom suites. Across the two rooms there are two double beds, two sofa sleepers and one king. (I have dibs on the king bed for me and my guy.) The St. Tropez is on 455 East Harmon Ave. across the street from the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino and two blocks from the strip. It has free continental breakfast and a free airport shuttle. It is a non gaming hotel, so it is quieter and smaller than the mega resort hotels. Also less smoky in the lobby.

If you want to make your own reservations for a room either at the St. Tropez or any other Vegas hotel, I recommend you go to hotels.com or vegas.com.  If you call a hotel directly, or go directly to a specific hotel website, they will either have higher prices, or say they are sold out, or both. You will get the best price and availability at one of the sites I mentioned.

I will be checking in on the evening of July 3, but since I will be driving in from San Diego, I may be later than some of you if you are coming in that night. So go ahead and check in under my name--the rooms are prepaid. I have only told them that there are going to be two people per room to avoid the extra person fee of $10 per night. So it probably won't be good if more than two people check in to each room! Call me on my cell phone (619-770-0318) that night to see if you can go straight to the rooms.

I am checking out the 5th about noon, because I am taking off for the Grand Canyon river trip with some of my other friends that day. If you want to stay the night of July 5th or longer, you will need to make your own reservations. But you need to do that now, because if you wait until you are in Vegas, you will have to pay a premium price, and/or they may be sold out.

My proposal is that we all meet at the St. Tropez on the 4th of July and spend the day by their lovely pool. We can use the kitchens in the suites to prepare our own drinks and food, rather than paying premium prices for hotel food. Also if it gets too hot we can go inside. I will bring beer, a blender, and Margarita mix. Y'all bring whatever else you want to drink. We can get groceries there in Vegas. There are a couple of Costcos in Vegas. I will probably make a Costco run on my way there for soft drinks, snacks, and probably some steaks, fish, potato salad, bread, veggies, etc.  Please let me know any special requests for food or drinks before the 3rd.

Also, please let me know if you will be joining me in the suites or making your own arrangements.

This is going to be so much fun!!!!!

Eckdum ramro huncha!

Just to clarify, as there have been questions about the suites. My friends and I who are going on the raft trip will be using the suites no matter what. So you are under no obligation to stay at the St. Tropez. But there will be extra sleeping spots, so you are welcome to share with us. I just need you to let me know, so I can determine sleeping arrangements, and make sure everyone is accommodated. That's all for now! :)
